About one and a half years ago I bought your 15 DVD pack. I can only say, that it opened a new world for me on how to look at the guitar. I am a professional guitar and bass player with quite a good reputation in Germany (see my credits on http://www.herrnkind.com/en/credits.html); but legato guitar and stretched fingerings have not been in my vocabulary yet. To expand the vocabulary, when You are in your mid 50s is quite a task when your schedule is filled…but Your method is amazing! As soon as I find the time, I would like to have a Skype lesson

This series is unreal. There is so much information and ideas that I have not had previous knowledge of, or have helped me further understand concepts touched upon by my current instructor.
There are many instructional options out there on DVD, websites, YouTube, etc., but this series is hard to top. $250 is not pocket change, but if you are serious about guitar and want to expand your techniques and knowledge, this is money well spent.

The Ultimate Virtuosity 15 is so valuable. I have been playing guitar for 31 years, and oh how I wish that I had this when I started out as an intermediate player just starting to solo. I am a pro player and was the lead guitarist in one of the best top 40 bands (Inside Out Band) here in San Diego. I found out about Derryl Gabel through a video I was watching on YouTube that was covering 3 note per string pentatonics. During the video, the guitarist said “This concept is from Derryl Gabel. If you haven’t heard him you should definitely check him out.” So low and behold I did. Absolutely everything I’ve been looking for and a new found inspiration and drive to push my playing to the next level.
I looked in the shop section of his website after much listening to his solos and to my surprise he had a package that contained all of his DVDs at an amazing value. The wealth of knowledge provided in all these DVDs is the equivalent to a Guitar Performance major in college and trust me, I’ve looked into applying to college for guitar performance and the amount of techniques and concepts described in these DVDs is comparable.
No matter what skill level you are at, there are things that will build to be a better guitar player from the ground up. Definitely look into getting his GPS DVD and 12 key mastery DVD along with this as these will help lay a solid foundation for you to truly internalize and master the INSANE amount of knowledge from each of his DVDs.
Also very important to note, TAKE PRIVATE LESSONS! You might think that you have everything you need with the DVDs but there’s more to it than that. You need someone to help keep track of your progress and guide you correctly based on your assessed skill level or what you are trying to achieve. I found myself overwhelmed and practicing inefficiently without a proper goal in mind but who better to guide you than the man from the DVDs himself? He’s a great teacher and very methodical and friendly which is important. Also, it’s Derryl Gabel… Like cmon!
If you are serious about guitar and you want to take your playing to the next level, don’t hesitate! I didn’t and it was honestly one of the biggest steps I feel I’ve taken towards my guitar playing, it will be yours too!
